Importance of Lighning in the Nitrogen Cycle:
A. When lightning occurs, nitrogen reacts with oxygen in air to form nitrous oxide/oxides of nitrogen, which is further oxidised to form nitrogen (IV) oxide /nitrogen dioxide.
B. The nitrogen (IV) oxide / nitrogen dioxide dissolves in rain water to form nitric and nitrous acids (that fall to the ground).
C. When it reaches the soil, it combines with bases/mineral salts to form nitrates, which the plants absorb.
What is Nutrition?
Nutrition is the process whereby organisms take in food and other raw materials and converting them into energy and other vital nutrients required for life.
What is Reproduction?
Reproduction is a biological process by which organisms replicate themselves. It is also a process whereby an organism propagates new individual organisms or “offspring”.

Explain briefly the term respiration.
Respiration is the process by which living things breakdown or oxidise food, nutrients, glucose or organic substances to release energy and ATP for metabolic activities of the body with or without the use of oxygen.
What is Movement?
Movement describes a change in the position of a body part or parts of an organism that brings about a change in the whole body.

What is Crop Production?
Crop production is the process of growing only crops. Crop production depends on crop science for optimum yield of crops in the farm.
In other words, it is a branch of agriculture that deals with the growing of food crops and cash crops for consumption by humans and animals and for generating income.
