Guidelines for Secondary School Laboratory Design
- Primary administrative areas should be near the front or main entrance to the lab.
- Storage areas should be near service entrance, accessible to the labs and support areas.
- Hazardous or infectious lab areas are to be located as far as possible from the main entrance and administrative areas.
- Break rooms, cafeteria, conference rooms are to be positioned as far as possible from odour-producing activities or contaminated areas.
- Glassware and media preparation areas should be near and accessible to lab areas.
