Maintenance and care for solar battery bank are essential for a successful off-grid solar PV system . Some factors that can cause poor performance of solar battery are manufacturing defects, installed environment, the type of battery technology and battery abuse. However, abuse of battery is one most common reason that had caused failure in many off-grid PV systems. This article explains some of the factors that can lead to battery abuse.
Inverter is the central hub of the solar PV system. When properly installed in the right way based on manufacturer’s specification and at the optimum location, there is little to worry about the efficient functioning of the inverter system. The manufacturer’s specifications are usually included in the user’s manual. However, the choice of a suitable location is often a difficult challenge in some site installations.
Our solar energy training programme is focussed on solar PV installations and these include hands-on activities, inspection of field installations and the application of solar weather data for optimum output of solar PV systems.
