Consequently, the Board has approved the commencement of registration for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from Sunday, 14th January to Wednesday, 14th February, 2024. This, however, does not include registration for Direct Entry (DE) applications as the DE registration would commence from FEBRUARY 20TH TO APRIL 20TH 2024.
While preparing for the upcoming JAMB registration, it is important you know the subjects combination required in different courses for UTME candidates. To be sure of what to register for, learn more about JAMB UTME Subject Combinations in order to avoid any mistake of registering a wrong subject.
NIN is still very much needed for registration. JAMB UTME mock will be held on the 20th of April, 2024.
As JAMB is about to open UTME/DE registration for 2024 and as we are all aware, NIN is mandatory for each and every prospective candidate for generating a Profile Code.
On this note, the advice for all parents and guidance who had obtained NIN on behalf of their wards, especially those children that have gotten their NIN when they were below the ages of 16 (Minors) and now they are in SS3 and have attained the age of 16 years and above, is as follows:
1. They should take their children to any of the NIMC offices nearest to them and do Data Migration from Minor to Adult.
2. While doing that, they should also do SIM registration with any of the available GSM mobile line and present it during NIN Migration.
During initial NIN registration, the child’s NIN was tied to his/her parent or guidiance NIN.
Now that the child has attained the age of 16 and qualifies for Migration to Adult registration, the new phone number that was registered for him/her will be modified to replace the one for the parent or guradian that the child was earlier registered with during minor registration.
With the above processes accomplished, the child will not have problem in getting JAMB Profile Code during registration.
Kindly circulate and educate the general public.
