Planning Designing and Installing Photovoltaic Systems in Nigeria

Considering the unlimited availability of sunlight in almost every part of the planet-earth and the ease-of-use of electrical energy, there have been concerted research and development effort towards converting sunshine directly to electricity. This led to the production of the first photovoltaic cells at Bell Laboratories in the early 1950s as a spinoff of transistor technology (Schaeffer, 2005:75)
